ANSWER

At this stage, he had the following tests:
– Mantoux: Negative
– NBT stain: Positive i.e. not CGD
– ANA: Negative
– ANCA: Negative
– Serum ACE: normal
– Upper GI and follow through: unremarkable

He went on to have a bronchoscopy/BAL, thorascopic lung biopsy and endoscopy (upper and lower) under general anaethesia.

Findings are as follows:
– Bronchoscopy: unremarkable
– BAL: suggestive granulomatous inflammation
– Lung Biopsy
